The logistics centre, which covers more than 26 000 sq m and serves as a new base for both companies, will begin operation in the first half of 2009. The new building will be used for the distribution of printed materials all over the Czech Republic. The relocation of both companies should bring cost savings as well as simplified communication between operations and the headquarters.

A new 26 000 sq m logistics centre is to be developed in Horní Počernice in the Czech Republic, as a joint home for distributors PNS and Mediaservis. It is the result of an imaginative solution to the needs of both companies by Colliers International Czech Republic.

Colliers International Czech Republic was approached last year by PNS, a key player in the sector of distribution and focused on public distribution, who had been trying to find a solution for their new logistics centre. Colliers recommended PNS start negotiations with the developer VGP, with regard to leasing space at VGP Park Horní Počernice.

Coincidentally, Mediaservis, a company that distributes printed materials for subscribers nationwide and is also an alternative mail operator in the Czech Republic, approached Colliers at the beginning of 2007 with a similar request.

Since PNS and Mediaservis complement each other in terms of their business activities – both of them offer distribution of printed materials but target different market segments – joining these two requirements represented an ideal concept.

Both companies had already considered such an idea in the past and were therefore not against this solution. Mediaservis joined PNS in their negotiations with VGP and together they developed a project that satisfies the needs of all parties.
